85 women leaders from five areas Lopongtandi ,Horomocha, Kura, Charhi and Kasiadih attended a one day workshop at Jan Vikas Kendra, Hazaribagh across four days in the month of May dates 24th ; 26th ; 27th ; 28th , 2026.
The main objective of this workshop was to give rural women leaders exposure and skills in understanding self. And secondly to impart knowledge and information on income generating activities and documents required to access welfare Schemes.
The first session was an ice breaker and this quickly led the women to open up to other activities. This was followed inviting the women to draw their present sources of income. Women enjoyed drawing and for many it was their first experience in doing such an activity.
They then each shared and had a lot of fun listening and viewing each other’s drawing. The two resource persons Dilip Tudu and Dinesh Kumar Bhuiya shared a Power-point presentation on different ways women can increase their incomes. This session was followed with a discussion.
Outcomes and Learning’s:
Many women participants came to such a program for the first time. The workshop gave space to relax and enjoy. The input made them aware about other ways to earn incomes. The participants from Barisum villages quickly acted on the knowledge they received in the workshop. They facilitated Sanjhli Hansda; Lalita Murmu; Adhani Kisku; Dewanti Tudu; Chotki Murmu; Maino Baske; Dasmi Marandi get their Aadhaar cards updated. Chotki Murmu got her Abha card and Ayushman card made after she returned from the workshop. In Kasiadih area Parvati Besra; Meena Soren; Meena Besra and Parvati Murmu linked their Aadhaar Card to their account and mobile number.
