On August 9th, 2000, a small health center was inaugurated through the initiative of the indigenous community in Horomocha village. This was a celebration time for all.
Health services were extended to this village 18 kilometers south-east from Kasiadih in 2001 at the request of the village community there. The health center was built by them a mud structure on their land and run in close collaboration with two villages Horomocha and Phulhar.
Over time the community became more involved in preventative and promotive health services, including health fares, AIDS awareness, immunization campaings, nutrition and health education through protein powder.
Monitoring and improving the growth of children through protein powder
