Health education for 56 women
Health education was given to 56 women from the villages of Pindra; Barisum; Durukasmar; Lopongtandi; Ulhara and Jaminia Ulhara by Regina Tirkey and Sukhdeo Soren in a workshop at Lopongtandi centre. Heights, weights, blood pressure were recorded of every woman in this meeting and through games, classroom session and group discussion awareness was brought on a few preventable illness.
In one of the sessions each woman was asked to bring a symbol which value. The women brought flowers, herbs and leaves and shared their uses to improve health and stones and bricks to have homes. Through this exercise women realized how much they value good health and a stable home for themselves. Most of the women are facing displacement issues.
